How GroupChatName handles generator inputs, analytics, advertising identifiers, cookies, and local favorites.

Last updated: 2026-08-05

Introduction

GroupChatName is a public tool for creating group chat name ideas. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the website, why it is processed, and the choices available to you.

The public generator does not require an account. Please do not enter sensitive personal information, financial information, health information, government identifiers, passwords, or private details about other people.

Information We Process

Depending on the features and providers currently enabled, we may process:

  • Generator inputs: names, roles, group type, vibe, regional style, platform, and optional inside jokes that you submit to generate ideas.
  • Usage and device data: pages visited, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device information, referrers, timestamps, and interaction events.
  • Local favorites: names you save may be stored in your browser's local storage and remain on your device.
  • Security data: IP address, request metadata, and challenge results used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and Cloudflare Turnstile.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: cookies, local storage, web beacons, pixels, IP addresses, and other identifiers used for security, analytics, advertising, consent, and site reliability.

AI Processing

When AI generation is enabled, generator inputs may be sent to an AI provider, including Google Gemini API, to produce name ideas. The generated results are for brainstorming and may be imperfect. We do not intentionally use generator inputs to create advertising audience segments, and we do not pass generator form values to Google AdSense as ad-request parameters.

Analytics

We may use privacy-focused or conventional analytics services, including Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics, to understand aggregate traffic and product usage. These services may process page URLs, referrers, device details, approximate location, IP-derived information, and interaction events according to their own settings and policies.

Google AdSense And Advertising Cookies

We use Google AdSense code to verify the site for advertising review and, if the site is approved, to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers as a result of ads being served or advertising code being present on the site.

Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve, personalize, limit, and measure ads based on visits to this site and other websites. You can manage Google ad personalization in Google Ads Settings and learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services in Google's partner-sites notice.

Users may also learn about choices offered by participating advertising companies at YourAdChoices. Opting out of personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent non-personalized or limited ads from being shown.

Consent For EEA, UK, And Switzerland

Where required, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown a consent message through a Google-certified Consent Management Platform before advertising cookies or personalized advertising are used. Available choices may include consent, manage options, or reject, depending on applicable law and the configured consent message.

Other Service Providers

We may use:

  • Cloudflare for hosting, security, caching, Turnstile, and abuse prevention.
  • Google Gemini API for AI-assisted name generation.
  • Plausible Analytics or Google Analytics for traffic and usage measurement when enabled.
  • Google AdSense for site verification, advertising delivery, reporting, fraud prevention, and measurement.

These providers process information under their own terms, privacy policies, and data-retention settings.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate and improve the generator, keep the service secure, enforce usage limits, understand aggregate performance, support advertising, diagnose errors, and respond to support requests.

Sharing And Retention

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that operate, secure, analyze, or advertise the website, or when required by law. Generator inputs may be retained only as needed to produce results, prevent abuse, or meet provider requirements. Local favorites remain on your device until you remove them or clear browser storage. Analytics, security, consent, and advertising providers retain data according to their own policies and settings.

Children

GroupChatName is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly use interest-based advertising to target children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review the issue.

Your Choices

You can clear local favorites and cookies through your browser, block or delete cookies, use browser privacy controls, manage Google ad personalization, and use the choices presented by the consent message where available. Blocking some essential or security storage may affect site functionality.

See our Cookie Policy for more detail about categories of cookies and similar technologies.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as providers, features, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
